This spring, we’ve moved the heart of our Spring Benefit online so we can celebrate together, apart.
We hope you’ll toast our playwrights as you
watch our videos
with our signature cocktail.
If you make a donation (of any size)
we’ll send you six “Bake Off” scripts
commissioned from Page 73 playwrights!
Artistic Director Michael Walkup offers a socially distant welcome to the Spring Benefit.
2019-20 was a banner year for Page 73 and found our playwrights on stage in New York City and around the country. Let’s raise a glass to them!
ENSURING OUR MISSION CONTINUES!
Every year during the Spring Benefit, the guests gathered in the room raise crucial funds during our Live Give. Even though we can’t be together this year, we need to reach our Live Give goal of $40,000 before June 30, 2020.
THE 2020 NEW PLAY BAKE OFF
We have fun every year at the Spring Benefit with our New Play Bake Off. Playwrights have only one hour to write a brand new play and we stipulate that they must include the same three ingredients. This year’s ingredients are:
1) A pet dinosaur
2) Faking amnesia
3) The sentence: “I don’t understand why it always ends like this.”
Everyone who contributes even $1 to our Live Give will receive a link to access all six Bake Off scripts.

2020 SIGNATURE COCKTAIL
We name the Signature Cocktail at our Spring Benefit after our current Page 73 Playwriting Fellow. Here’s the recipe for a sharp and effervescent “Emma Goidel.”
Don’t have all these ingredients? Feeling lazy? Not a mixologist? No problem. Try these variations...
Just champagne.
Just bourbon.
Just lemon juice and sugar.
Beer.
The Emma Goidel
6-7 mint leaves
1 oz. Whiskey
1 tsp of sugar
½ oz. lemon juice
Champagne topping
Muddle those mint leaves gently with sugar and lemon juice. Add in an ounce of whiskey and shake shake shake. Strain into flute or a cocktail glass. Top with champagne. Tweak the sugar and the lemon to taste.
Page 73 could not exist without our fearless community of donors
We thank the following for their early and unwavering support of the 2020 Spring Benefit. We hope you will commit to our mission and add your name to this list by making a donation today!
